Tab Menu - Favorite Layers

The tab, Fav(orite), exposes additional tabs allowing the user to access favorite layers and locations.

 

Users must be logged into the govME system to use Favorites. Click here to view Login Help.

Note: City of Tacoma Employees are logged in automatically.

The sub-tab, Layers, displays the user's list of favorite layers.

 

Open Favorite Locations Tab

 

When the user clicks on the Favorite Layers tab the following will appear.

Clicking on the Add/Edit icon will send the user to another window where the user can modify the list of favorite layer sets.

 

The following is an example a user would see if a favorite layer list has already been created. When a user clicks on one of these favorite layer descriptions all of the layers associated with that layer set will be turned on in the mapping window.

 

 

A user can not turn on two or more favorite layer sets at the same time. For example, if a user selects "Sanitary Lines" and then selects "Streetlights", the "Streetlights" layer set will be turned on and the "Sanitary Lines" layer set will be turned off.

 

To see a more verbose description of the layer set hold your mouse over the layer set name as illustrated below. You can edit both the layer set name and description by clicking the Add/Edit icon above.
