Basics - Metadata

To view a mapping layer's metadata simply click on the name of the layer in the Layer Menu legend. For example, to view metadata for Habitat Corridors click on the actual layer name (not the plus/minus image or the checkbox).

Most layers in gMap will have some Metadata information available. However, some layers may not have any Metadata available. The metadata window has several parts, but most users will only see the title, contact information, and the description at the top of the metadata window.
